King of NYC Doll
Swish Toys: King of NYC Doll. Sculpted by Charlie Becker, produced by Swishtoys and manufactured by Hot Toys, this King of NYC remains nameless, but some say bares a striking resemblance to Christopher Walken. Sadly, though Hot Toys is now meeting or exceeding this level of detail in their recent work, by "cleaning up" the sculpt, they erased much of the subtle nuances of the original. This is the first time pictures of the original are being posted, followed by their painted sample, and a production figure. -

The figure is held together at the waist with magnets, so the internals are accessible. the little button on his crotch makes his eyes light up. The backpack holds the batteries. It's removable, too, but still attached by the wires. It comes with a detachable "try me button" skull boom box. Viewers can use the buttons to light up the figure when it is in the package, and remove the piece to use the real buttons when it's out of the package.
