VH-1 Holiday IDs

Hired by Hunter Gatherer to do character design and sculpting for 3 Holiday ID spots shown on VH-1. The inspiration for the characters were the generic “cute” faces of Disneyland’s “It’s a Small World” ride. Pieces were to be scanned and animated by computer, but tests were so successful that it was shot as stop motion entirely in camera.

Innovations include the creation of a new color, “flourescent beige” used for the mullet and rat-tail hairstyles of father & son in the last sequence.
